Kevin Dale is the news director of The Denver Post, leading the news organization’s reporting and digital teams. The Post has won four Pulitzers in the past four years, including a digital-only photo essay and the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for its coverage of the Aurora theater shooting.
Dale joined The Post in 2000 as sports editor. He has also served as Sunday editor and Investigations editor. He led The Post’s coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Convention, which Denver hosted. A native of Wisconsin, Dale is a graduate of Kansas State University and has worked at daily papers in Kansas, California, Texas (the Star-Telegram), New York and USA Today.
Dale will be giving the keynote speech at the awards luncheon and will offer an additional individual session for Q&A about his experience leading the news team that covered the Aurora theater shooting.
