Established in 1982 by Edith Kinney Gaylord, the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation’s stated mission is to invest in the future of journalism by building the ethics, skills and opportunities needed to advance principled, probing news and information. The Foundation has four program areas: investigative reporting, professional development, youth education and special opportunities. Based in Oklahoma City, the Foundation offers grants across the country.
The Foundation’s support of the SPJ region 8 conference demonstrates their commitment to professional development and their support of journalists and journalism education. Thank you!
Thank you also to hometown paper The Houston Chronicle for supporting us at the Editor-in-Chief level!
